Pearce Addalin turns 5....

Pearce Addalin Burns was born December 28, 2006 at 7:56 AM...she had tons of black hair and was a "mini" compared to her older sister only weighing in at 7lbs. 11oz....Scouty weighed 10lbs 15oz!  She has made us laugh ever since she could talk, and has the most caring heart of any person I know.

Tonight she celebrated her 5th birthday! I can't believe she is already 5...I feel like I just had her....
Pearce waiting on her friends to get here...she wanted a couple of friends to spend the night....

Jentry's prayers....

I had to share this.....Jentry is 2 years old...26 months to be exact....over the past month or so she has been praying at dinner some and before she goes to bed. Her prayer usually goes like this: Dear God, Thank you for my family (said like it is a 3 syllable word), my dad, my mom, my scouty, my pooh (that is what she calls Pearce)....AMEN.

Well, tonight when she prayed it went like this: Dear God, Thank you for my family, my dad, my kyra....she stops and looks up at me and says "you my kyra, right??" Me: "yes but you call me mom not kyra" Jentry: "but you kyra right?" Me: "yes" Jentry: continues on with the prayer....thank you for my kyra...amen.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for this hilarious child - AMEN!

Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell Run....

Last night, Justin ran in the Dallas Jingle Bell 5k Run....the older two girls and I tagged along (JJ stayed with Grammy and Pops)...next year we are doing this as a family...the "fun run" not the 5K :)
Pre-race...walking around the Hilton/Anatole hotel
Scouty enjoying some candy and analyzing a moving piece of art....see below
There were close to 5,000 people participating in this year's race....and several dogs...if you know Scout, you know that she HATES dogs....hates them worse than anyone I've ever been around...so, last night she was on high alert....she also isn't very fond of dressed up things...there were several of these as well....Pearce on the other hand LOVES people dressed up in mascot costumes and wanted to take pictures with all of them....

We also saw Santa!

Having a little snack while waiting for the race to start...we also walked around looking at the hotel lobby...it was HUGE!!!
And we found this Christmas tree...

Daddy finished!

After the race, we went inside and listened to a little music.  We had a good time, it'll be even better next year when we all participate!

Merry Christmas!!!

Nana and Papaw came for a visit!!!

Justin's parents came from Kentucky ('Tucky...if JJ is telling you...) for Thanksgiving...We were all excited to see them...here are some pics from their visit....
Pearce and JJ waiting for their car to pull up...they probably looked out that window for a good 20 minutes...
Ready for some fun at the ZOO!

Worn out from the zoo....she walked the entire time!
Waxahachie tree lighting downtown.....

We all had so much fun!

Bowling with Pops....

My Dad (Pops) wanted to take the girls bowling this past Wednesday...we headed to Ennis for a little fun at the bowling alley...JJ included....
Daddy helping J bowl for the first time...she got pretty independent after this...
Scouty bowling....she was very concerned with who was winning the whole time...she came in third

P ready to throw the ball...literally...her method was throw and run away...
It was a good time had by all...pretty sure none of us will be going pro any time soon...good thing we had bumpers :)

My Favorite 2 year old.....

Jentry recently moved up to her "new" class at school...the 2 year old room. She loves it and is doing new and exciting things each day. She also is becoming more and more verbal...she talked alot for her age anyway, but now she is really expressing herself through words...

A couple of funny things she has said lately...2 days ago I came in her class and she was standing by another little girl...she says (in her raspy voice), "Momma, this is my friend, Emily"....Emily and Jentry were standing shoulder to shoulder, and both had crazy daycare hair (like they had been playing really hard all day...lol) Emily looks up at me and smiles...I say "Hi Emily". Jentry immediately turns to Emily and gets within 2 inches of her face and says...."That's my Momma"...in a raspy monotone voice....I love that girl :)

Jentry has also started saying/asking...."Hey. Hey. You my Momma??"...then nodding her head with a concerned look on her face, and saying, "uh-uh"...the funny part is, she loves to say it when I pick her up from daycare...like she is confused on who is picking her up and double checking to see if she is going home with the right person....
I think we are going to have our hands full with this one....lol....sweet baby J...

Road Trip to Konner's Game....

Last weekend I took the two older girls down to Huntsville to watch their Uncle Konner play in his opening game....He plays basketball at Sam Houston State. The game was going to start at 7:30, and we had to drive back that night, so Justin kept JJ home...they had some fun of their own...SAGU basketball game and CiCi's pizza (Jentry's choice :) )

Here are some pictures from the night...........

Within 10 miles from home, Pearce started in on "Are we there yet??" and "How much longer?"
Sammy the Bearkat...I thought P was going to tackle him...she was a little too excited...Jensen came down with Chaddy...these three had a blast! (All we needed was Colin to be there!)
J and Pearce hanging out before the game...yes, that is a tattoo on his forehead....
Scouty "signing" I Love you to the camera
Ready for the game to start....they were definitely the loudest in the crowd...you better believe Pearce tried to yell "Let's go Konner" through that megaphone the entire game....if you know Pearce, you know she was being heard all over that gym..lol...
Pearce and Kooper...decked out in their noise makers!
It was a fun night! The team won, Konner did good (scored 17), and the girls got to hang out with family and friends!

Go Bearkats!!!

Halloween Fun!!

At our house we have a Halloween tradition....enjoy it with great friends!!!  We met at our house around 6, ate a little dinner, then set out for trick-or-treating! Here are a few pics from the night...
Scouty is Pippi Longstocking....P is a bumble bee...and JJ is Minnie Mouse...she is only smiling that big because I told her Papaw in Kentucky wanted a picture!
Our group!! We've grown over the years (and we're actually missing a few!!) Our girls are very blessed to be growing up along side these friends that are just like family!
At the end of the night...the girls are all passing out their candy to other kids trick-or-treating!
Such fun memories!!!!

Mini Muddy Buddy....

This past Saturday Scouty and P participated in the Mini Muddy Buddy at Cedar Hill State Park...they had so much fun! Here is a look at their fun day!
Up bright and early! Daddy (Justin) was running in the adult muddy buddy...the girls loved watching him!
Team Tie -Dye ready to get muddy!
Our friend, Tim, was P's partner...if you are 6 and under an adult has to run with you...Justin was with Scout.
Here are some action shots from the run...
Afterwards...

 Fun with Friends!

All Clean...
We had a great time and the girls look forward to doing it next year! Can't wait for JJ to get in on this... :)
