Glubs...Pupcakes...and Chilli on a Dog!

Pearce speaks her own language...always has since she could first start talking.....example: gloves are "glubs", cupcakes are "pupcakes"...she also speaks in opposites...like, when i'm late picking her up from something  she says, "why did you come so early??"

This morning, Justin told her to go outside and see if she needed a jacket....she comes back in and says "It's chilli on a dog out there" (in her best Texas accent)...and then on our way to school she insisted that Fancy Nancy's neighbor is Ms. Design....not Ms. Divine (which is what her name really is)....Why are kids so funny?? I'm just glad I have a hilarious one!!

On another note....the two older girls are playing soccer...not on the same team. P has already scored a goal...she claims she is better this time around b/c she is "older". Scouty is playing on a different team than she has her other 3 seasons...very competitive...it is a big change for her but she is doing good!

A visit to Uncle Konner....

This past weekend was "Family Weekend" at Sam Houston State University...the girls' uncle Konner attends there so we went for a visit! They had a blast and got a little taste of college....some highlights of the trip: tour of campus, new shirts to wear to future basketball games, football game (they got to go down on the field), and cupcakes for Konner's b-day....oh and also, spending the night in a hotel...which included jumping on the bed :)
Here are some pics from the weekend:
JJ is missing b/c she was taking a much needed nap...this is the start of the campus tour

Sam Houston statue...P kept calling it "The President"
Uncle Konner's locker...they inspected every square inch of it :)
Shirt from the college bookstore...check!
Fun foam finger...check!
JJ needed some room to run around!
2 of her favorite things....Uncle Konner and a flag...lol

Go Bearkats!!

Things I love....

One of my favorite things to do is watch the girls play together...it's even better if they can't see me. All three of them have a crazy imagination...and I LOVE it!!

I love that Pearce can have a 20 minute conversation with Regan (Her best friend that moved but if you ask her she says "he left her") on a fake cell phone....or how Scouty can turn our entire house into a day care making herself along with the other 2 girls "teachers" and I always get the role of "day care director" in charge of discipline...this can go on for hours....and Jentry (not even 2 yet) loves to play "mommy" and "baby". She usually is the "mommy" and she makes Pearce the "baby".

Along with these few examples, they spend countless hours playing dress-up, dancing, and making up cheers...which they are currently doing in the other room. Scout is trying to be in charge...teaching moves and a cheer...I keep hearing P repeating over and over the rap portion of that Justin Bieber song "Baby" which of course is driving Scouty crazy! Jentry is repeating everything and running around saying "No No Pooh!

I'll leave you with one more story....One day this summer the older two went up to visit their Aunt Kad. My parents went with them and they all met up with their Uncle Kyle to swim. While swimming, the girls wanted to play beauty shop and Kyle was going to be their customer. ( FYI - Scout and Pearce have the ability to fall in and out of "character" without notice) Pearce starts asking Kyle the following: "So, what have you been up to?" "Are you seeing anyone?" My mom hears her and asks what they're playing....P's response - "Oh, we're just playing beauty shop and gossiping a little"

Oh how I love these girls!

Serving....

This morning our church gave away 40,000 lbs of food...no questions asked. It was a great experience for Scouty and P....JJ stayed home with Grammy. Here are a few pics from today...

The Life School JV and High School basketball team came to serve, too!

The Girls...

So...I've been meaning to do this for a long time and got inspired by one of my friends that has a great blog...shout out D.W.!

Let me introduce "The Girls"...

This is Scout Adison...she is our oldest...just turned 6 and in the first grade. She LOVES school and is a great big sister.  She is named after the little girl in "To Kill A Mockingbird"....her daddy picked her name out when we were in college....what a perfect name it turned out to be :)  We've called her Scouty since she was little...I'm sure she'll want us to quit one day but for now she tolerates it.

Our middle daughter is Pearce Addalin....or P as we like to call her...she also answers to Pooh (Jentry's nickname for her) or Pearcy.  P is one of the most compassionate people I've ever met and she is only 4...soon to be 5.  I honestly believe that one day she will either be a missionary or in the peace corp. She keeps us laughing all the time and sometimes makes us want to pull our hair out! Pearce is in "fake" kindergarten...really it is a private kinder. class b/c she already went through the pre-k class last year...but Scouty calls it "fake" b/c she isn't old enough to be in "real" kindergarten. She is starting to love school like her older sister!

Last but not least....baby JJ! Jentry Rian will be 2 in October but tries her hardest to act as old as her two sisters.  (I can't believe she is almost 2....time went by quicker with the third!) J talks with a raspy voice and has the best belly laugh. Right now she is in the "parrot stage" where she repeats everything.  My favorite is when she repeats prayers a dinner...it is so sweet to hear.

Well, those are "The Girls"....a constant joy for Justin and I...hopefully you'll find them as funny as we do. I'll leave you with one more picture -
